. The Mount Washington Observatory. Mt. Washington is the highest peak in New England, and is known for its fierce weather conditions. Since discovering the site, I've loved reading the daily posts from the observers who staff it. They also post wonderful photos taken from the summit, and have a gallery. If you're a weather junkie, you'll enjoy it. If you're from somewhere always sunny and warm, you might get a nice view of life up there too.
The Gallery of the Absurd. Artist "Fourteen" illustrates celebrity gossip. Think editorial cartoon meets E! News. This one, using Paris, Lindsey, and Britney to parody Botticelli's "La Primavera" is just brilliant:
