Oh. My. God. WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH. I cannot believe they did that. Poor Edgar! I watched that last scene with my hands over my mouth near tears. Never since TXF killed off The Lone Gunman have I seen such an emotionally manipulative plot twist. *sniff* (Frikken Howard Gordon! He must have had something to do with this!) Mary Lynn Rajskub was just superb. That face she makes. Oh Chloe you're human! The Fox "24" site actually has a nice interview with her and Louis Lombardi who plays Edgar. Well, played Edgar. *sniff*
I am in the process of trying to finish reading "A Million Little Pieces" by James "I made most of it up" Fray. I am very much enjoying it. I tried to leave what little I heard aside, and just read the story like I would read a novel, though a few moments I think it has crept into my mind and made me think, "Is this what he really experienced?" In the end I don't think it really matters looking at the beauty and quality of his prose. It is inspiring me to want to write better, and any author who can do that has done a fine job, IMHO. Book club discussion on it is tonight.
Cardio kickboxing this morning. I have been only moderately good in the eating department this week. I made killer lamb-burgers last night and got the flavor of gyros down pat, with fresh tzatsiki and wilted spinach with feta and garlic. Then helped myself to handfuls of chocolate chip Teddy Grahams. Love them.

I just can't get into a Million Little Pieces after finding out it's not true. The worst part is that he tried to sell it as fiction before he peddled it as a memoir.
See, I didn't, (and still don't) know enough about the details of the whole hullaballoo other than, details were embellished. Now, I had heard he was under the impression from the publisher/agent that it was to be published as fiction or they knew he had intended it to be fiction, not that he remarketed it as a memoir to sell it.
I can't believe someone wouldn't want the story as fiction; it's beautifully written, though I suppose his style might not float everyone's boat. I can't wait to hear what my friends here think of it.
I forgot all about AI last night, I shall have to report on my picks to be voted off tomorrow.

mmmm, you inspired me...i made gyros last night with homemade flatbread, feta, lettuce, tzatziki sauce, and a cucumber salad on the side.
YUM! and my son ate every bite! amazing.

Krysten, I cannot believe your 2 year old at that. Seriously? Actually, just about 2 or after mine started to get picky and stop eating stuff. Not to warn you or anything.

he is being picky these days, which is why i was surprised that he ate all of it...even the lettuce! and when hubby asked him if he wanted another piece of gyro meat, he stuffed the WHOLE strip into his mouth!
i'm thinking i may be making gyros more often! haha! did i mention my child weighs like 24 pounds...he is skinny skinny skinny. so eating is a good thing. he doesnt have a lot of leeway in that department!
