"Don't ya get it? Potter's not selling! Potter's buying!"

When pondering right wing conservatives that say, "Obama's for socialism!" this scene from "It's A Wonderful Life" came to my mind. Like Potter, some might say Bush and congress "bought" the banks. While George Bailey, a man of the people, who wanted everyone to have an "affordable house", got everyone to "share the wealth" when times were tough.

Not quite the same thing I know. But the intentions of most liberal ideas are noble, and good. Government is just too big to execute them properly. Good grief, could BOTH political parties, in their purest sense mind you, not the radical fringes, have it right? If only they would put the gloves down instead of taking them off. The drive for absolute power has absolutely corrupted. Washington (as in George) was right.
