Pilgrims

I meant to take a picture from the top of this monument to post but I forgot. They built this monument here to the pilgrims because they actually 1st landed at Provincetown before Plimouth rock. But I got this sticker to say I climbed a zillion steps to the top. Now we sat on the back of the boat listening to the thumping bass of the onshore club while this illuminated, monolithic monument disappears into the overcast sky... It's very surreal.
We shopped til we dropped today. Food not as good as last few meals. We head out back to Scituate tomorrow AM. hopefully less chop. Everyone gets Dramamine just in case. Even me. :)

I particularly like the juxtaposition of the Pilgrim Monument brochure with the wine glass. Oh! The irony! Hope the sailing's been good, even if the food hasn't been as good.

I think the Pilgrims were big on wine. If they weren't at first they sure as hell came to be to survive the New World that's for sure!
