Stupid liars and the wrong lies they tell

The other day at work, someone handed me a paper that had come off the fax machine there. It was to me, and asked if I would complete a 20 minute online survey and in return I would get a $50 Amazon gift certificate. Hey I thought, that's a no brainer. Sure, I'll answer a few questions.

So I go to the site, and enter the password they gave me. A new window opens, and the instructions tell me that first they have to find out if I am qualified to take part in the survey. Now, mind you, I have already mentally spent that $50 on books and DVDs. I read through the questions; Yes, I work at a large hospital. Yes, I consider myself a "clinical pharmacist." I figure I better make myself sound edjumacated and important to qualify right. I then proceed to answer that "yes, I am involved in the decision making process when it comes to drugs." Then I think I tried to downgrade it a bit on the next question or two, I don't want to pass myself off as the Director of Pharmacy or anything. I hit submit:

"Sorry, you are not qualified to take part in the survey, but to thank you we will enter you in a sweepstakes to win $150 in gift cards" blah blah blah.

Bastards! They wanted some shmoe! Which is what I am really. LOL

See! Never, never, never, ever lie!

I'm melting. I swear whoever is sitting at the power grid in New England better not be asleep at the switch. I do not want a blackout. Ugh.

Yours in sweat,
G.

sorry to say this, but you are too old to be falling for these things. You never give info to anyone you didn't contact on the computer or fax. You should clan the cookies off your computer now.

I got an email at work from HP about printer supplies. I filled out the survey they asked for and a few weeks later I got a $10 Starbucks gift card. Not all those things are phoney.

Awww, that sucks!

But...you could win a $100 gift certificate for books on my site, and I won't ask you any stupid questions. You do have to lie though.
