I haven't pimped any tune rec's lately, so I figured I was due. Corinne Bailey Rae seems to be all over the airwaves these days; she's the one singing "Girl put your records on..." It's a catchy tune, but I don't know about all these dj's comparing her so strongly to Billie Holiday. Sorry but she is no Billie. She's more of a Norah Jones meets Joss Stone, ya know?
I must admit I am jamming out to all the pop-punk emo bands lately, like Fall Out Boy's "Dance Dance", Panic! at the Disco, Rock Kills Kid's "Paralyzed", Yellowcard... The new Dashboard Confessional is great but, so damn depressing.
I went out and bought the soundtrack to the movie "Kinky Boots" just to have "In These Shoes?" by Kirsty McColl. It's a old tune that she covered, released back in 2000. The rest of the soundtrack is pretty fun too.
It's back to school time! I'll try to contain my joy for the sake of propriety. We are off to buy supplies.
