"Fix the cigarette lighter"

Name the movie!

We were hitting each other with our favorite lines from classic comedies like Caddyshack, Stripes, Blazing Saddles, and Animal House last evening at the soccer game. Props to Sandy for reminding me of this one. Hee! Anyone who wishes to chime in please do!

So yes, I've been thoroughly immersed in suburbia this week. Soccer, book club, puppy, shopping... so no posts.

And thanks for those who asked, sissy had a baby girl, 7 lbs, 8 oz! Both are doing well. She is gorgeous, like her mom and aunties. *g*

This is my new purchase:

A Trek 7.3 FX. The "F" is for fitness baby. I can't believe it's going to rain tomorrow and I won't be able to ride it. Pooh. Anyone else ride? Any tips?

My only advice is to wear a helmet. =D

well, that blows. I just left you a cheerful, lovely comment and blogger ate it. Blogger EATS.

Anyway, I was excited for your bike purchase, and interested in more details of your puppy. That is all.

Oh, and I forgave you for your lapse in posting, because I know that sometimes a so-called "real" life will get in the way of this oh-so-fun one. :)

Puppy is a golden retriever who is getting big! :) I'll have to post a new photo.

Exciting stuff happening to you, huh? Love the bike!

Man, you went all out with the bike! Nice. Are there any nice bike circuits close to where you are? (Mind you, your neighbourhood is pretty quiet.) I used to bike really far as a teenager. Good times.

Oh, and I had to google the quote because I totally did not remember that. I've seen that movie though.

Two of my favourite comedy quotes:
1) "These go to eleven."
2) "Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed! "

Name those movies!

Awe the second one is on the tip of my tongue... It will come to me in the car on the way home.

I knew you would get into the quote thing.

My town is pretty quiet and offers a nice ride, but there are a few places nearby with paths.

Yeah, I'm a total geek when it comes to movie quotes.

Hints: The first one is from an American movie, and the second one is a British movie. The second one is one of my favourite movies ever. I laugh so much every time I see it. Both quotes are from movies more than 20 years old.

Aha! The hints cinched it.

1) is This is Spinal Tap. I was like, "What goes to eleven... oh! Yes!"

2) Monty Python and the Holy Grail, right?

Please please post 2 more posts so that damn "I'm Only Happy When it Rains" song will stop auto-playing every time I hit your page.

And also, "always look on the bright si-ide of life."

Kisses!

G., yes. It is indeed This Is Spinal Tap (and the volume that goes to 11!), and Monty Python & The Holy Grail.
