The Department of Homeland Security's deputy press secretary is apparently a pervert. Nice. Doesn't this instill even more confidence in their ability to protect the country?
"But I thought she might be Al-Qaeda!"
Anyway.
On to more important things: writing.
Leesa, Lisa---I thought you might find this cool. Erotica is permeating the mainstream. Maybe we should collaborate. ;) *weg*
So, in this quest to become a better fiction writer, I have come to know many people in real life and the "blogesphere" who are also aspiring writers. I have decided to share what little I have learned from workshops, and start a page for writing exercises. All are welcome to participate. Do it yourself for fun, but the idea is to post it for constructive comments by others; things like grammer, plot; what works, what doesn't. Most of the exercises will be aimed at producing "short-shorts". If you have a blogger account and want to be invited so you can post to it, shoot me an e-mail. Alternatively, you can e-mail me, or Lisa, or Nancy Dancehall your story and we can upload it for you.
So without further ado, I present: What If? Bookmark it. Come back to read and comment. That's an order. LOL

I thought this comment was funny: "Erotica has a long history, dating back to the Marquis to Sade and the 1954 book, 'Story of O.'"
Erotica has been around for longer than de Sade. Please also note that his name is misspelled! I would even suggest that one of the books of the Bible could be described as erotica.
I am beginning to like the song you have playing on here.
Would that be Song of Songs? Oh yes!
Nine tenths of fan fic seems to be erotica written by women. I guess mainstream's finally caught on.
Not that I've ever read any fan fic. I've never had a crush on a fictitious character...nope,not me...nosiree...
(I'm confused by the song thing. But I am exhausted so maybe that's it?)
Spill it Nancy, there are many fanifc devotes here. Jamie, Gen, Bee, MyUtopia, and I all met via an X-Files message board a few years ago. I may have actually written fanfic or two... ;)
G - if you got something published on literotica.com I'd be really impressed.
and if a man wrote it would it still be erotica? or would that make it porn?
hey, i had no idea that thats where you all met!! lol! thats so funny.
i luuuurve x-files.
I LOVE the X-files! The Smoking Man rules! I could never get enough of the Lone Gunmen either.
Song of Songs in the Bible: "A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts."
And so on.
Ok, I like my fiction-guys lonely and brooding. British accents are a +++.
