Idolatry

Yes, it's that time of year. I get sucked in just like millions of other Americans, gawking at young aspiring singers as they weep with joy, or the pain of rejection. I argue with Randy via the television screen over who did great and who was "pitchy". Voting began on American Idol last night.

AI is my guilty pleasure. Yesterday, the kids and I laid on the couch in our pj's and caught up on 3 or 4 hours of Hollywood week we'd Tivo'd, so we had some background into the Top 24.
We have our favorites already. LOL I hate that Brenna biyatch. She'll be gone early I predict. I have a soft spot for Kellie, she's such s sweetheart but I don't think America wants to go the blonde country queen again. Mandisa, the full-figured black woman has some pipes--- I love her! Same for little Paris. I like Katherine, who sang last. Becky's good, but she picked a shitty song and sounded awful. Melissa is adorable but I don't think she's vocally strong enough to go the distance. And... we have a local there! Ayla Brown is the daughter of a local newscaster, and lives like 20 minutes from me. So you all must root for her. :)

The boys sing tonight. All I have to say at this point is "Constantine who?"
