I'm gonna let myself get, absolutely soakin' wet

It was definitely raining men at Disney's MGM studios this weekend. Holy mackerel, ABC seems to have cornered the market on hot young actors.

Super Soap Weekend was tons of fun as usual. I arrived at my sister's home around 1:00PM, (after being picked up by a town car! Nothing like seeing someone holding a sign with your name on it when you walk off a plane. I love having family that's connected!) just in time to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the soaps with my mom and Amy. In three hours, I was caught up from last year's event. LOL!

We checked into the Dolphin Hotel on park grounds, so we could get an early start in the morning, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Blue Zoo, Todd English's new restaurant in Orlando. The sea food platter was amazing

It's always such a hoot to see these crazy women (and some men!) dressed in custom tee shirts with photos and sayings such as "I want to get "Lucky" (a character on GH) or handing out buttons enlisting support for a favorite couple pairing, like these women rooting for John and Natalie. I had hoped to meet Erika Sleazak, but she only had standby slots available by the time I reached the Fast Pass gate. Instead I had the pleasure of getting up close to Kamar de los Reyes, who plays the smoldering Antonio
Vega on One Life To Live.

These men are even more handsome in person than on TV, let me tell you, and it was fun to see them interact with fans, especially the segment of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" hosted by Walt Wiley. Our game featured Aiden Turner from AMC, and he was incredibly cute the way he joked around with Walt in a display of mock machismo posturing.

The only damper on the day was early on, when a mob scene got out of hand at a Q&A session. Throngs of people waited to get into this theater, completely unorganized, through one door. Then they opened another door toward the back of the crowd. The auditorium filled up amidst much pushing and shoving, with late comers getting in while people who had waited 45 minutes were locked out. Not a good scene, especially for Disney, the place that perfected efficient queuing up. My older sister gave Guest Services an earful.

Here are some photos, along with some more tidbits from the event. Georgia, my sister has a better picture of Jacob Young that she's going to send me so I can pass it onto you! :)
