Boo Ya!

My kids have the impression that as long as they can get an item of clothing on their body, it fits. (Thank God R isn't that fond of skirts!) I have had her dig clothes out of the trash when she catches me throwing them away. The latest compromise is letting her wear too small tees and shorts as PJ's. Next I think may be having them dress her stuffed animals. They're the same way with pants too, even the boys. The bottom of them hem can be over their ankles and they'll be like, "They're fine!"

The problem is, they are so petite that usually there is a gap (no pun intended) between what is too small and the next size up. R is complaining the long-sleeved tees I bought her are too big. Well too bad. Roll up the sleeve. I'm not paying $15-$20 for a shirt that won't fit next fall. Because eventually they have to grow, right?

Damn, and they complain there is never enough food in the house now...

Speaking of food, Happy Halloweenie! This is officially my daughter's favorite holiday. SRSLY, above Christmas. In her mind, rats, zombies, and hordes of candy rule over sugar plums and Santa anyday. The bigger two are being something ghoulish, while Littlest One is Shaggy from Scooby Doo. The costume is a riot.

I am planning on scaring the children who come to trick-or-treat---no not with my face shut up, with a freaky mask and "bloody gauze" around me.

Sounds like mommy needs to learn how to hem pants and sleeves -- it's not hard to do....

You're quite right. I actually have one of those "baby-mini" sewing machines. D'oh.
